Feel at home from the moment you step inside. Heat up in the private sauna and luxury-jacuzzi on a romantic snowy day, snuggle up by a crackling fire, or lie back on the lawn and bask in the summer sun after a memorable hike in the unspoilt natural surroundings.
The two-storey chalet, entirely at your disposal, was handcrafted with great love and skill by an expert carpenter. In this enchanting getaway at an altitude of 1,300 metres you can spend a holiday a stone’s throw from the Mendel Pass hiking and ski area, which is easily accessed either by car, lift, bike or even on foot.

SUMMER ACTIVITYCome for the sun, stay for the view! In the summer months, there are countless hiking and cycling routes for the whole family to choose from. The well-signposted paths lead through verdant meadows framed by the impressive mountains of the Mendel group, from Mt. Gantkofel to Mt. Roen. There are plenty of huts along the way that offer refreshments for a pleasant pit stop. The Dolomiti Golf Club is only a short drive away, and so is the open-air swimming pool in Ronzone, in case you need a refreshing dip. Cyclists can choose from a variety of tours at all levels of difficulty for mountain bikes, racing bikes and E-bikes – there’s something for every taste!
WINTER ACTIVITYIn winter, the surroundings offer the perfect backdrop for skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and ski touring. The chalet is just a few metres away from the fine Campi di Golf ski area, at the foot of Mt. Roen. In Ruffrè, Predaia and the Mendel Pass area there are plenty of pistes, and the Nevelandia snow park, with its toboggan run and snowtubing facility, offers children plenty of fun on snow. The cross-country ski centre in Regole di Malosco, at the foot of Mt. Penegal, has beautiful trails that lead through snowy meadows and woods. Other winter leisure options include snowshoeing, ski touring and ice skating on the idyllic Lake Smeraldo.

Arriving by car
Coming from the north, take the A22 motorway – Bozen Süd exit and continue towards Eppan and the Mendel Pass.
Coming from the south, exit at Neumarkt/Auer and continue in the direction of Weinstraße and Kalterer See, then on towards the Mendel Pass. Alternatively, you can exit at Trento Nord, continue on the SP235 in the direction of Mezzolombardo, and then take the SS 42 in the direction of Mendel Pass. Coming from Meran, drive over the Gampen Pass, continue via Fondo and then head towards the Mendel Pass. If you prefer to avoid the splendidly panoramic but winding Mendola Pass road and its 15 hairpin bends, you can take the bright-red Mendola funicular instead!
Arriving by funicular and on foot
From St. Anton near Kaltern (510 m), take the Mendel funicular up to the Mendel Pass (1,363 m). The service runs daily, about three times every hour, and the ascent only takes 13 minutes. It also offers a breathtaking view over the entire Überetsch valley, Lake Kaltern, Bozen, the Etschtal valley and the Dolomites. Bicycle transport is possible. Dogs are allowed on the funicular, provided they wear a muzzle, at the same price as full-paying passengers. From the Mendel Pass it is only a 20-minute walk to Chalet La Mendola.
